How we help children
We mentor students who have an academic need or a behavior need or who are English Language Learners.
How do we accomplish this?
How do we accomplish this?
- We build relationships through weekly connections with students. These connections consist of classroom observations and/or lunch time conversations. When we do classroom observations, we will be observing the student and behaviors or habits that have been a concern as stated by guardian or student. Lunch time conversations will focus on the whole child: interests, friends, problems, goals…
- We mentor students who are English Language Learners and students who may be struggling academically and/or behaviorally.
- We also connect with students to set weekly goals.
- We monitor progress through weekly check-ups. Check-ups can include: behavior reports, review of class work, review of benchmark tests…
- Our goal is to help children adjust and be successful in the school environment.
