York Academy of Discovery is a faith-based preschool program.  York enriches young lives through the arts, community exploration, and play-based academic achievement opportunities.  The program is provided at no cost to children and families who qualify.  Contact us about enrollment options if you do not qualify.  Our program is open to all students striving to provide diversity. 
​We believe in a small group experience in order that we may build relationships and meet social-emotional needs.

​How were the men and one woman on the Lewis and Clark expedition able to push on?  Surely there were many times they wanted to give up.  But they did not.  They continued with their expedition of discovery.  When all seemed impossible, they fought on.  Great determination, great strength, and great trust in each other produced new knowledge to be shared with others.  York, a slave, was a major contributor to the success of this journey.  Never doubt the impact of one person. 
 
There are people each and every day that set a course of exploration and discovery.  At times journeys are filled with twists and turns, road blocks, and new directions. 
 
York advocates on behalf of young children.  Our desire is to establish preschool enrichment experiences that meet the needs of the whole child.
 
Currently, we are providing an early childhood preschool experience that operates four days per week, designed to guide children through their own journeys of exploration and discovery.  Additional information is provided on this website.
